Vibe Omix features

Vibe Omix (also written VibeOmix) is a free music streaming app for the web and Android. This page lists everything you can do with it, from playing songs with lyrics to listening together with friends in a voice room.

Free music streaming

• Search any song, singer or album on Discover, or tap a quick search such as Bollywood hits, Punjabi hits, LoFi, romantic, workout, party, sad songs, 90s Bollywood, old Hindi songs, Sufi, ghazals, devotional, Tamil and Telugu hits, English pop or K-Pop.
• Home rows that follow what people play: Popular right now, Trending hit of this week and evergreen Bollywood and Hollywood songs. With an account you also get Recently heard and Songs you might like.
• Start Vibe keeps playing music that matches the song you picked, so the mood does not break.
• Lyrics appear in the player for songs that have them. When the lyrics are timed, the line being sung is highlighted as the song plays.
• Play next and Add to queue on every song, a mini player that stays with you while you browse, and a full-screen player.
• Share a song. Every song has its own web address, so a link opens that exact song.

Your library and playlists

• Like songs with the heart and find them all in Liked Songs.
• Make playlists: add any song with the + button, play a playlist or shuffle it, and mark a playlist Private to keep it out of search.
• Import playlists from Spotify. Paste a Spotify playlist link into Discover and Vibe Omix rebuilds it from the song titles and artists.

Chats and groups

• Private chats and group chats. Find people by their username and start a conversation or a group.
• Reply to a message by swiping it to the right or from its menu, and copy, edit, forward, pin, delete or report messages.
• Live chat status: “typing…” while someone writes, one tick when a message is sent and two ticks once it is read, and a green dot with “Online now” or when someone was last active.
• Privacy in every chat: switch off sharing your read status, your typing status or your online status, chat by chat.
• Lock a chat with a 4-digit PIN and choose whether the PIN is asked every time or the chat stays open for up to 1 hour after you unlock it.
• Chat themes that everyone in the chat sees, with a note in the chat saying who changed the theme.
• Pin your favourite chats to the top and mute the ones you want to keep quiet. A message of up to six emoji is shown on its own, without a bubble.

Calls, voice rooms and listening together

• A voice room in every chat and group, where anyone can also turn on their camera for a video call.
• Video call controls: switch between the front and back camera, and open anyone's video full screen.
• Room Music: pick a song and it plays in sync for everyone in the room. Everyone in the room can control playback, and each person sets their own volume for the music and for the voices.
• Screen share: show your screen to the room, from a computer with the browser's own picker or from a phone with the Android app.
• Watch together: stream a video from your phone or computer to everyone in the room. The video plays from your device and is never uploaded.
• When a voice room is live in a chat, its call button turns green, so you can join it in one tap.

Profiles and friends

• Your profile with your username, a profile emoji and a short bio.
• Follow people and see your followers and the people you follow.
• Your playlists are listed on your profile.

Android app and notifications

• The official Android app is a free download (APK) from the Download app page.
• Message notifications: one notification per chat that updates with the newest message, and none for the chat you already have open.
• Call notifications with Accept and Decline, so you can answer a call even when the app is closed.

Light and dark themes

Choose Light (cool aqua with warm marigold) or Dark (deep petrol night, easy on the eyes) in Settings. The help and policy pages follow the same choice.

Free, with an optional Premium pass

• Free: every song, lyrics, playlists, chats, groups and calls, with short advertisements.
• Premium pass: no advertisements while you listen, no advertisements in a voice room for anyone in it while you are there, and up to 6 pinned chats instead of 3. A pass is a one-time payment and never renews by itself. The plans and prices are on the Premium page.

Privacy and safety

• Your phone number is never shown on your profile or to other users.
• Report a message, or report a problem from Settings, and the Vibe Omix team looks into it.
• Delete your account at any time from Settings.
